Dr. Ken Hammond, professor of Chinese intellectual history at New Mexico State University, will enlighten us in a talk on Chinese socialism and its contemporary challenges.

Dr. Ken Hammond received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in History and East Asian Languages. He currently teaches at NMSU.

Having lived and taught in China for years, Dr. Hammond is a leading Anglophone specialist on Chinese history and philosophy, and the author of the widely promoted audiobook, From Yao to Mao: 5000 Years of Chinese History.
