The Philadelphia Liberation Center organizes a number of programs that provide vital services to community members.

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have delivered over 100,000 meals to people who are especially at risk and need to remain indoors through the Unity & Survival grocery distribution program.

Through the Escuelita Óscar Romero, the Liberation Center operates a free after-school program — now an online tutoring service — for migrant youth recently arrived from Central America.

LC volunteers help run the People Power Gym, which offers free fitness and self-defense classes multiple times per week.

Other activities the LC has organized include back-to-school supply giveaways, block parties, park cleanups, coat drives, and more. We also provide meeting space to a local addiction recovery support group.
